Itinerary of: 4 DAYS DESERT TOUR

Day 1: You arrive at Fes airport and are taken to your hotel.

Your driver or guide will pick you up at the airport on the first day of your 4-day trip from Fes and take you to your hotel. Then, based on when we get there, we’ll go to Fes to see the famous Medina of Fez. You’ll spend the night at a nearby riad or hotel after dinner.

Day 2: Fes to Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erg Chebbi Dunes.

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Fes for our 4-day trip. On our way, we’ll go through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be the Atlas Lio Statue, which a German prisoner constructed in exchange for his release from the French.

After that, we’ll go to Azrou’s Cedar Tree Forest to watch the monkeys. We’ll go through the Middle Atlas Mountains to get to Midelt for lunch. Then we’ll visit the Sahara Desert and the Tizi N’Talghoumte Pass. We’ll get to Merzouga in the late afternoon, and you’ll start your camel ride in the middle of the dunes, where you can see the sunset. We will have dinner and spend the night in a camp.

Day 3: We’ll spend today exploring the desert and the area around it.

The Erg Chebbi is where our trip today will take us. Khamia is where we’ll go. In the village, you might be able to see the Gnawa dance.We will cross the hamada and head toward the town. There, we will camp in tents with Berber nomad families and drink tea. 

As you drive deeper into the desert, you might find more saltwater fossils buried in dry rock. After that, go back to your hotel. Camels will traverse the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. There will be a beautiful sunset for you. Before you go to the desert camp, you will have time to take pictures and enjoy the sunset. You can take pleasure in listening to the local nomads playing Berber music after a delicious meal. People will camp for the night.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

Today we set off early and embarked on a long drive to Fez. After a scenic stop in the Ziz valley, thousands of palm trees are scattered here and there. Once again, we cross the Atlas Mountains.

the Middle Atlas-stopping not only for a snack but also for short stops at impressive viewpoints. The highlight will be crossing the town, also called the Moroccan Swiss Ifrane, which has one of the largest cedar forests in Morocco.

If we are lucky, we will encounter the famous Barbary macaques, which have migrated as far as Gibraltar. Feeding them is allowed here, but caution is advised. The road takes us further through Morocco and Switzerland. It is green (or white in winter).

The adapted alpine-style houses do not seem to belong here. We stop briefly in the mountain town of Ifrane. Then we descend on the other side of the mountains to Fez. Once there, we accompany you to your accommodation, a traditional riad.
