Embarking on an exploration of the picturesque Dades Gorges on the first day. On the second day, go via the Todra Gorges, explore Erfoud for its fossil merchandise, and reach Merzouga.

Experience a captivating sunset by embarking on a camel expedition into the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by an overnight stay in a desert tent. Experience the dawn over the Sahara on the third day, then return by camel and drive back to Marrakech.

Optionally, you may choose to make stops in Rissani or the Draa Valley. This route provides an abundant cultural and picturesque encounter, allowing you to fully engage with the splendor of Morocco’s many terrains.

Itinerary of: 4 Days Tour From Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Dades Valley
Departure in the morning over the High Atlas mountains through Tizi n’Tichka (alt 2260 m).On the road, you will visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and  continue to Ouarzazate. then carry on the road via the road of Thousand-Kasbah through Skoura. then to the rose valley, and then. Spend the night in  Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, you will continue in order to join Dades Valley, set off towards Todra Gorges, and have lunch in the right place. 

Carry on the road to Merzouga, across Jorf palm trees and the town of Erfoud, where you will visit the workshop for the production of marble fossils. Arrive at the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 3: Explore the Sahara (Merzouga)

The next morning, after breakfast, you’ll spend the day out in the desert in the SUV. (It is possible to spend the day camel trekking, if you’d prefer.)  There are plenty of adventures for your day on the sand. You’ll get to see various areas of the desert and how people in the area live.

There will be the opportunity to visit some nomad families, if you’d like. You can also visit the Gnawa Music Association in the village of Khamlia. The Gnawa Music Association is an NGO established to preserve the heritage of those brought from central and west Africa as slaves into the southeastern part of Morocco prior to Morocco’s independence. The traditional way of playing the music that their ancestors left behind is still present.

Lunch can be traditional nomad pizza at a local restaurant. Later in the afternoon, you will arrive at the meeting point, where you will board your camels. You will travel by camel approximately an hour out to the desert camp. If you like, you can climb up to a high vantage point to watch the sunset. After dinner, there will be music. Your night will be spent under the stars in a comfortably furnished tent with a private bathroom.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

Today we set off early and embarked on a long drive to Fez. After a scenic stop in the Ziz valley, thousands of palm trees are scattered here and there. Once again, we cross the Atlas Mountains.

the Middle Atlas-stopping not only for a snack but also for short stops at impressive viewpoints. The highlight will be crossing the town, also called the Moroccan Swiss Ifrane, which has one of the largest cedar forests in Morocco.

If we are lucky, we will encounter the famous Barbary macaques, which have migrated as far as Gibraltar. Feeding them is allowed here, but caution is advised. The road takes us further through Morocco and Switzerland. It is green (or white in winter).

The adapted alpine-style houses do not seem to belong here. We stop briefly in the mountain town of Ifrane. Then we descend on the other side of the mountains to Fez. Once there, we accompany you to your accommodation, a traditional riad.
