Itinerary of: 10 DAYS MOROCCO TOUR

DAY 1: Casablanca – Fez

Pick up is at the Casablanca airport. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world. Then we will take the car in the direction of Fes, the cultural capital of the country.

DAY 2: Fez – Fez

Free day in FEZ. When penetrating the streets of your medina (old city), we will feel that time has receded: the union structure is still present in the work, the narrowness of its streets does not allow other means of transport than donkeys, and there is a constant tingling. People move through the labyrinthine streets, in the midst of which neighborhoods like the one of the Andalusians, magnificent mosques, and Koranic schools will surprise us. Fez has always been associated with study and religiosity. Remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina, another option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, where the royal palace, the mellah (Jewish quarter), and the oldest mosque in Fez are located.

DAY 3: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes

We leave Fes on the way to the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, and we also visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss. 27 km from the ruins is Meknes, a city that reached its apogee thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. In this city, you will visit the door of Baba Mansour and the Place de Lhadim.

DAY 4: Meknes, Middle Atlas, Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Departure to Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco. We will also stop at the forest of Azrou to enjoy watching the monkeys climb the cedars, and then continue through the mountains of the Middle Atlas towards the valley of Ziz and its gorges. We will continue to the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, where we will dedicate ourselves to appreciating the peace of the desert. Accommodation is in a hostel near the dunes.

DAY 5: Merzouga, Khamlia – Merzouga

This will be a stage where, after breakfast, we will go through another of the tracks used in the “Rally Paris-Dakar,” visiting nomads of the desert with whom we will have tea and see the oasis where some movies were filmed as “Sahara,” starring Penélope Cruz. We will visit the town named for the slave trade they brought from Sudan. And after eating, we will change the traction of the 4×4 by that of the animal traction. The dromedaries will take us into the desert of dunes to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. This night will be special, we will sleep in the dunes in nomad tents as the Berbers do. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen before. Dinner and accommodation in the unforgettable

DAY 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Gorges of the Todra – Gorges of the Dades

We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return to the car  We left for Rissani and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will reach one of the strong points of the South: the Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch on the site and a half-hour walk to see the Gorges quietly. In the afternoon, we continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne. Arrival at the Gorges of Dades.

DAY 7: dades valley Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we left on a road dotted with Kasbahs, all different. After several stops, we will head towards the route of the Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses, and the great palm grove of Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate; visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt, which was the former residence of the Glaoui or Pasha of Marrakech. Lunch is on the site. We leave by the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass with stops to enjoy the spectacular views it offers. Arrival in Marrakech

DAY 8: Marrakech – Marrakech:

Free day in Marrakech, a city famous for its Jemaa el Fna square, which will occupy much of our time: an amalgam of aromas, sounds, and sensations unrepeatable. The city also has countless places to wander and enjoy: the Jardines de Majorelle, the Menara, the Saadian Tombs, walks through the medina or the mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the route of the walls, and the modern city (Gueliz) with its western ways of life.

DAY 9: Marrakech – Essaouira

A getaway to relax in this town. It is worth it to leave the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and relax in this peaceful city. Its magnificent sandy beaches and fierce winds have made it a surfing paradise, but Essaouira is much more. Deserted beaches for which we can ride on horseback or dromedary, surrounded by argan trees (the oil of gold), a quiet medina with white walls and doors of intense blue, fresh fish paraditas, friendly people, and incredible sunsets. Many artists have chosen this city as a source of inspiration, and it is perceived in its traditional and, at the same time, bohemian atmosphere. In the early morning, we would leave Marrakech, and in about 3 hours, we would arrive in Essaouira. In this city, we propose that you sleep in a charming riad where you will enjoy a corner of peace and very careful service. If you feel like it, we suggest you do a Moroccan homemade cooking workshop, spend the afternoon doing a massage in a hammam, horseback riding or dromedary on the beach, surfing, or just take advantage of the afternoon to do some quiet shopping in the medina.
